Only 18.7% of chefs in the UK are women.
There are more women CEOs nationally than women Head Chefs.
The fish rots from the head.
Inspired by real interviews, Yes Chef follows two young women in a male dominated industry, exposing the reality behind closed kitchen doors.
We are now actively seeking production opportunities for Yes Chef. To request the sharing pack and/or video, please email producer Grace Dickson.

Project History
Following a facilitated online reading via NSDF Spotlight, the team completed an Arts Council funded R&D of Yes Chef to interrogate the text, and to develop movement and design elements. This was presented in an industry sharing on 10th December 2021 in the Studio Theatre at Roundhouse. Our writer, Laurie, was also selected for script development sessions with the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.
In early 2022, we partnered with Kelly’s Cause to deliver subsidised Mental Health First Aid training to female hospitality workers, in order to promote better wellbeing in the service industries.
